One summer evening in 2006, the owner takes his SZ to dinner in Como, Italy. He parks the car near the lake. As he leaves the restaurant, an old man calls out softly to him:
“Scusi… are you the monster?”
Surprised, he smiles. The man points to the car:
“I was at Zagato when they assembled this. Each panel was adjusted by hand. We called it Il Mostro, but for us it was a sculpture. You have a work of art in your hands.”
Since then, every time he started up, the owner said he wasn’t just turning on the engine...
He was awakening a legend.
