Future collectible vehicles

The classic vehicle market is evolving rapidly. Some models that are still affordable today will gain significant value in the coming years.
Classic-Vintage-Car.ch continuously monitors trends, price increases, and models that are becoming rare.
Here is our 2025–2030 selection of vehicles to watch closely — and to acquire before their value rises sharply.

1. Rising youngtimers

VW Golf GTI 16V / limited editions

  • Limited production
  • Strong demand in Europe
  • Values steadily increasing

Potential: +30 to +60% over 5 years (depending on condition and configuration).

BMW 3 Series E30 (318iS / 320i / 325i)

  • Icon of the 1980s
  • Highly sought after in Switzerland and neighboring countries
  • Good examples are becoming rare

Potential: strong increase for clean, unmodified versions.

Mercedes 190E (W201)

  • Very strong reliability reputation
  • 2.3 / 2.5 versions highly sought after, but also clean 1.8 models
  • Many worn vehicles, increasing the value of good examples

Potential: still undervalued, especially in original configuration.

2. Classics already in demand but still affordable

Porsche 944 / 924S / 968

  • Last “affordable” Porsche models
  • Clear price increase since 2024
  • Credible alternative to the 911 to enter the Porsche world

Potential: still undervalued, but not for long.

Triumph TR6 / TR4

  • Safe values on the UK / EU market
  • Limited supply, especially with full history files
  • Timeless British charm

Potential: slow but steady growth, good pleasure investment.

Jeep CJ5 / CJ7

  • Strong trend on vintage 4x4 vehicles
  • Costly restorations, increasing value of good examples
  • Very popular for leisure and collection

Potential: rising values for healthy and well-restored models.

3. Future models: still accessible, future collectors

Toyota Land Cruiser (series 40 / 60 / 70)

  • Legendary reliability
  • Worldwide demand, including outside Europe
  • Fewer and fewer rust-free / unmodified examples

Potential: continuous increase, extremely solid market.

Fiat 500 (1957–1975)

  • Absolute icon of the small European car
  • Constant demand, especially in Switzerland and Italy
  • Ideal vehicle for a first pleasure purchase

Potential: safe value, stable with slight increase.

Vintage scooters & Lambretta

  • Market boom since 2023
  • Very strong demand for authentic models
  • Rare versions (sidecar, limited series) highly sought after

Potential: strong for rare pieces, especially with clear history.

4. Our analysis criteria

Each model we select meets several precise criteria:

  • Rarity (limited production, special versions, desirable configurations)
  • Parts availability (restoration possible without impossible search)
  • Ease of restoration (structure, mechanics, interior)
  • Current demand + 5-year trend (Swiss, European and international market)
  • Original history & configuration (matching numbers, full documentation, etc.)

In practice, the models above meet at least three of these five criteria.

5. Why anticipate now?

The market currently shows:

  • A temporary slowdown due to the macro-economic context: ideal buying window
  • Expected recovery in 2025–2026
  • Increasing rarity of authentic vehicles, especially non-cheap restorations
  • Values rising again as soon as the market stabilizes

Now is when the best opportunities are made.

6. Our current selection (or incoming) at Classic-Vintage-Car.ch

Here are some models we offer or actively search for our clients:

  • VW Golf II GTI 16S High Tech (limited series)
  • Jeep CJ7
  • Triumph TR6
  • Triumph TR4
  • Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
  • Fiat 500L / Fiat 500 Nuova
  • Porsche 944

Based on this, we can also start a targeted search for a specific model, in Switzerland or abroad.

FAQ

Is the commission due if the vehicle doesn't sell?

No. The commission on the sale price is only due if the transaction is completed through us.

Why pay an activation fee for the Excellence Plan?

It’s a guarantee of quality. This fee covers the actual work done before the vehicle goes on sale: our travel expenses, the time spent on the technical inspection, and, most importantly, the professional photographer. This allows us to create a “Premium” listing that attracts the best buyers.

Can I switch from the Freedom plan to the Excellence Mandate?

Yes, at any time. If the “Freedom” sale doesn’t yield results, we can switch to an exclusive mandate to revitalize the process with new photos and an adjusted strategy.

Do you only sell classic cars?

We specialize in vehicles “with character”: historic cars, collector’s cars, Youngtimers, and sports models with collector’s potential.

How do you select the vehicles offered for sale?

Each vehicle undergoes a thorough analysis: history, traceability, model consistency, mechanical and cosmetic condition, and price/market positioning.

We prioritize classic and vintage automobiles presenting a solid documentation file and a value consistent with the Swiss and international market. Quality systematically prevails over volume.

How can I know if my vehicle can be listed for sale with you?

We accept vehicles corresponding to our editorial line: classic or vintage models presenting a heritage, historical, or collector interest.

If the vehicle does not meet our criteria (insufficient condition, unclear history, inconsistent price positioning), we prefer to decline the mission in order to preserve the credibility and transparency of our transactions.

Why use an intermediary to search for a classic car?

The classic car market relies largely on network, experience, and analytical capacity.

Our support allows you to:

  • access off-market vehicles

  • avoid overvalued or non-compliant models

  • secure the negotiation

  • save considerable time

  • benefit from an objective view on the coherence of the project

The objective is not only to find a vehicle, but to find the right vehicle.

Are you bound by an obligation of result?

Our missions are framed by an obligation of means.

We mobilize our network, our monitoring tools, and our expertise to identify relevant opportunities. However, the availability of a specific model depends on the market, rarity, and defined budget.
We commit to the investment and rigor of the work, not to the immediate existence of a vehicle.

Are fees due for a personalized search?

Yes. Search fees are due at the start of the mission.

They cover the analysis of the specifications, the activation of the professional network, targeted prospecting, and initial steps.
This step formalizes a reciprocal commitment and guarantees a search conducted in a serious and structured manner.

Are the search fees deducted in the event of a purchase?

A partial deduction of the incurred fees may be applied to the final commission if the acquisition is carried out through our intermediary.

The terms are specified contractually at the launch of the mission.

How long does a search mission last?

The duration depends on the model sought, its rarity, and the allocated budget.

Some searches are completed within a few weeks, others require several months, particularly for rare models, matching numbers, or presenting very specific criteria.

A realistic and well-calibrated project considerably accelerates the process.

Do you refuse certain search requests?

Yes. We refuse projects presenting a budget clearly misaligned with the market or criteria incompatible with each other.

Transparency is part of our approach: a coherent project is based on a realistic evaluation of the current classic car market.

How do you guarantee the transparency of a transaction?

Each step is clearly explained: vehicle analysis, valuation, negotiation, structuring of the offer.

Our role is to secure the transaction and provide an objective reading of the vehicle and its value.

Trust is based on clarity of information and alignment of expectations.
